Use this field group to indicate which action(s) will be applied to the bankruptcy file being set up. Once a Chapter has been selected on this screen, select an action in this field group and click <Run Transaction> to run the Bankruptcy Transaction.

WARNING: If your institution is using Institution Option BKLC, teller number 8960 must be set up.

Possible actions that can be selected in this field group are:

Note: Select this radio button if no additional action should be taken on the selected Chapter bankruptcy.

 

Reaffirmation

Sets the Date Reaffirmed field as today's date and marks the indicator.

Clears hold codes 4 (Chapter 7, 11, 12) or 5 (Chapter 13).

Puts the statement cycle code back (from the bankruptcy history).

The Do Not Send Statements for This Account (LNSCYC) box on the CIF tab of the Marketing and Collections screen opens up for file maintenance, and if you want to continue sending statements to the borrower, you can uncheck that box.

Puts the late charge code back (from the bankruptcy history).

Changes the Consumer Information Indicator and date.

 

Convert Chapter

Changes the Date Bankruptcy Filed.

Sets the Date Converted.

Changes hold code 4 (Chapter 7, 11, 12) or 5 (Chapter 13) based on the bankruptcy chapter.

Changes the Consumer Information Indicator and date.

 

Dismissal

Sets the Date Dismissed.

Clears hold codes 4 (Chapter 7, 11, 12) or 5 (Chapter 13).

Puts the statement cycle code back (from the bankruptcy history).

Puts the late charge code back (from the bankruptcy history).

Changes the Consumer Information Indicator and date.

Any automatic or recurring payments that were previously set up on the account are restarted.

 

Withdrawn

Sets the Date Withdrawn.

Clears hold codes 4 (Chapter 7, 11, 12) or 5 (Chapter 13).

Puts the statement cycle code back. (from the bankruptcy history).

Puts the late charge code back (from the bankruptcy history).

Changes the Consumer Information Indicator and date.
