Dealer System > Dealers Screen > Add or Remove Relationships

Using the <Relationships> button on the Dealers screen you can add or remove plans, ancillary products, third parties, etc. to or from the dealer selected in the Dealers list view. If you assign a relationship to a dealer on the Edit Relationships dialog, all the manufacturers or distributors under that dealer will also get that relationship. Everything you add to the relationship hierarchy on the Edit Relationships dialog is added to the selected dealer.

Add a Relationship to a Dealer

To add a plan, ancillary product, third party, etc. to a dealer, complete the following steps:

1.Search for a dealer by entering your desired search parameters and clicking <Search by Name> or <Search by Number>.

2.Select a dealer from the Dealers list view.

3.Click on the <Relationships> button to view the Edit Relationships dialog.

4.Use the Entity drop-down list to view the plans, ancillary products, third parties, etc. currently tied to the dealer.

5.Select the type of relationship that you wish to add from the Entity drop-down list (Plan, Ancillary Product, Third Party, etc.). The Edit Relationships dialog displays all of the plans, ancillary products, third parties, etc. currently tied to the dealer, depending on the relationship selected in the Entity drop-down list.

6.Click <Add> to open the Select Relationships for Plan dialog.

7.Using the Select Relationship for Dealer dialog you can search for the relationship that you would like to add.

8.Select the relationship that you want to add and click <Add> to add it to the dealer. Note: You can select multiple relationships at one time by holding down your keyboard Control <Ctrl> key while selecting relationships.

9.The selected relationship is added to the dealer and now appears in the Edit Relationships dialog.

10.Click <Save> to save your changes.

Remove a Relationship from a Dealer

To remove a plan, ancillary product, third party, etc. from a dealer, complete the following steps:

1.Search for a dealer by entering your desired search parameters and clicking <Search by Name> or <Search by Number>.

2.Select a dealer from the Dealers list view.

3.Click on the <Relationships> button to view the Edit Relationships dialog.

4.Use the Entity drop-down list to view the plans, ancillary products, third parties, etc. currently tied to the dealer.

5.Select the type of relationship that you wish to modify from the Entity drop-down list (Plan, Ancillary Product, Third Party, etc.). The Edit Relationships dialog displays all of the plans, ancillary products, third parties, etc. currently tied to the dealer, depending on the relationship selected in the Entity drop-down list.

6.Select the relationship that you want to remove in the Edit Relationships dialog.

7.Click <Delete> to remove the relationship from the dealer. Note: You can select multiple relationships at one time by holding down your keyboard Control <Ctrl> key while selecting relationships.

8.The selected relationship(s) is now removed from the dealer and no longer appears in the Edit Relationships dialog.

9.Click <Save> to save your changes.
