Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page  Print this Topic

The Borrower Information field group on the CIF tab of the Marketing and Collections screen displays name and address information for this borrower. Most of the information in this field group is initially entered during loan origination or through the Households screen in CIF (found under Customer Relationship Management in the tree-view in CIM GOLD).

The fields in this field group are as follows:

Field

Description

Owners

Mnemonic: N/A

Use this field to indicate a borrower's name. The rest of the information on this tab relates to the name selected here.

Title/First Name/Middle Name/Last Name/Suffix/Preferred Name

Mnemonic: NDTITL, NDFNAM, NDMNAM, NDLNAM, NDSFFX, NDPRFD

Use these fields to view and edit basic name information for the IRS account owner. If the desired Suffix is not available, your institution can define additional suffix values on the Loans > System Setup Screens > Generation Codes screen. The Preferred Name can be used in event letters and other correspondence with the customer.

Male/Female radio buttons

Mnemonic: NDGEND

For internal purposes only, you can select whether this account owner is male or female. This information can be helpful when calling customers or addressing letters with either Ms. or Mr. This field is not mandatory, however.

Cannot Locate Consumer/Consumer Now Located

Mnemonic: NDCLIN

Use the Cannot Locate Consumer checkbox field to indicate whether the selected borrower cannot be located by your institution. If you check this box, the borrower will be reported with Customer Information Identification code (CIID) of "T - Credit Grantor Cannot Locate Consumer" to the credit repositories during monthend Credit Reporting (see FPSRP184).

Use the Consumer Now Located checkbox field to indicate whether a customer who previously could not be located has since been located. If this box is checked the next month (or many months) after the Cannot Locate Consumer box is checked, the system reports the borrower with CIID code "U - Consumer Now Located" during monthend Credit Reporting.

Once one checkbox field has been marked, savechangesbutton must be clicked before the other checkbox field becomes available.

The CIID code as indicated in these fields is only reported to the credit bureau once. If both checkbox fields are used in the same month, the customer status is not reported.

Note: Only one CIID code can be reported to credit repositories per month. Accounts can occasionally qualify for more than one CIID code. The T code (credit grantor cannot locate consumer) and U code (consumer now located) are last in priority. See the CIID code on the Households screen.

Mobile Registered User

Mnemonic: NDMRUR

Use this field to indicate whether the selected household member has registered for your institution's mobile app.

At present, this field is only used for for manual adjustment and reference purposes. In other words, checking this box (or leaving it blank) does not affect any other fields or functions in CIM GOLD.

Physical/Mailing Address

Mnemonic: NDPHAD, NDMLAD

Use these fields to indicate the physical and mailing addresses for the person selected in the Owners field above. This field is populated during loan origination, or any time address information is added or changed through the Customer Relationship Management (CIF) > Households screen.

You can also edit or add new addresses by clicking the blue Edit Address text link on this tab.

Note: An institution option is available that, when set, will hide the Physical Address and Mailing Address fields. This option is used if you do not want employees changing borrower address information. Contact your GOLDPoint Systems account manager if you want this option, COPT HBAF (Hide Borrower Address Fields), set up for your institution.

Note: Even if this option is set, the address fields for the account will still be shown in the Account Address field group below.
