Detailed History list view

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page  Print this Topic

This list view displays the results of your Detailed History search.

When all the history has been displayed, the following message will be displayed at the bottom of the screen: "END OF HISTORY FOR ACCOUNT," or "FRONT OF HISTORY FOR ACCOUNT" if you were reading backwards through the file. You can then enter other criteria in the search fields to initiate a new search.

Institution Option DRHF changes the default for viewing loan history to display the newest history item first instead of displaying the oldest item first.

Column

Description

Date

The Date column contains the date of the transaction in MM-DD-YY format, where MM is the month, DD is the day, and YY is the last two digits of the year.

Time

The Time column displays the time of the transaction in HH:MM format, where HH is the hour and MM is the minutes. This is shown in 24-hour military time. This means that 1:00 PM would appear as 13:00, 2:00 PM would appear as 14:00, etc.

Transaction Amount

This is the dollar amount of the transaction.

Transaction Description

The Transaction Description column contains a brief description of the transaction this history item represents. Some examples are:

OPEN NEW LOAN
REGULAR PAYMENT and LOAN DUE DATE
RESERVE 1 REFUND
RESERVE 2 REFUND
RSRV DISBURSEMEN and DESCRIPTION
RESERVE 2 DISB
ASSESS LATE CHAR
LATE CHARGES PAID
WAIVE LATE CHARG
LOAN FILE MAINT
AMORT DEFRD COST
MISC DEBIT
POST RSR 1 IN
DEBIT FIELD
CREDIT FIELD
LOAN PAYOFF
POSTING RT

Also, when a reserve 1 or 2 disbursement is made, the disbursement description is shown on a second line.

For a list of all transaction codes, see the Loans Transactions manual in DocsOnWeb.

The history program stores the effective interest rate when a payment is posted. It is displayed in history as "POSTING RT." This is the interest rate that was in effect for the loan payment that was posted.

The effective rate is the rate used by the system to calculate interest. For fixed rate and rate-sensitive loans it would be the loan rate (LNRATE); for construction loans it would be the LIP rate (LNLRAT); for ARM loans it would be the current accrual rate (LNAMRT).

This history item does not mean the rate has changed; it is a reference of the rate in effect for the due date of the payment being posted.

paperclipnote

Note: See Skip On Statement below for information on how some transactions can be skipped from being printed on statements. Also see Skip on Investor Reports below if you don't want the transaction to be included on some investor reports (if this is an investor-backed loan).

Teller

This is the teller number of the teller who performed the transaction.

Type

The Type column displays the transaction type. One of the following codes will appear in this field, or it will be left blank.

CS = cash

CK = check

JN = journal

Refund and Balance

These columns display amounts. The Balance column gives a running principal balance of the loan after the transaction shown. Refunds are given when insurance is canceled, for example.

Transaction Origination Code

This is the Transaction Origination Code (TORC) for this history item.

Skip On Statement

Generally, you should not be checking or unchecking this box. However, if you have security clearance and you check the box in this column, that history item for this transaction is not printed on statements generated from CIM GOLD on the Statements tab, nor the regular loan statements (which can be printed from GOLDView or sent to third-party statement producers). You can check this box for history items up to 60 days prior to the current date.

Some transactions default to a checked or unchecked box and users cannot change this. That means the transaction is hard coded to be included (or not included) on statement history.

Additionally, some report setups affect which transaction history shows on statements. For example, Deferments never have the Skip On Statement box checked, meaning they will always be included in statement records. However, certain options set up on the Report Setup screen (done by your GOLDPoint Systems account manager) will also affect whether or not Deferment transactions are included in the loan history section of statements.

Consumer Bill and Receipt (FPSR380)

Skipped By

This is the employee number of the employee who marked "Skip On Statement."

Skipped On

This is the date when the employee marked "Skip On Statement."

Skip On Investor Reports

If you check the box in this column, this history item will not be included in investor reporting. Some transactions default to a checked or unchecked box and users cannot make changes to this box. That means the transaction is hard coded to be included (or not included) on investor reports that show transaction history.

For more information concerning investor reports, see the following topics in the Loan Reports manual on DocsOnWeb:

Investor Posting Journal (FPSRP007)

Investor Activity Report (FPSRP034)

Investor Reporting Text File Report (FPSRP179)

This is the dollar amount of this component of the transaction.
