Use this field group to view and edit information about remote banking services for the customer deposit account.

Note: A remote banking PIN number can be reset by clicking <Reset PIN> on the Deposits > Account Information > Remote Banking Reset PIN Number screen. If you want to allow bank employees to change customers' PIN numbers, Institution Option OPTC SPIN must be enabled. The fields in this field group are as follows:

 

Field

Description

Remote Banking First Access

 

Mnemonic: DMRBFT

This field contains the date that the customer account first used remote banking (either via GOLDPhone or the Internet). This field is automatically updated at the first use of remote banking. This field is only valid if your institution offers remote banking services.

Remote Banking PIN Expiration

 

Mnemonic: DMPINE

Use this field to indicate the date the customer's PIN for accessing GOLDPhone and remote banking will expire. Once GOLDPhone or GOLD HomeBanker is used to apply the last four digits of the customer's Social Security number, this field will automatically fill in. When this specified date is reached, the customer will be required to enter a new PIN number. This field is only valid if your institution offers remote banking services. See below for more information.

 

A remote banking PIN number can be reset by clicking <Reset PIN> on the Remote Banking Reset PIN screen. If you want to allow bank employees to change customers' PIN numbers, Institution Option OPTC SPIN must be enabled. The following institution options are available that affect remote banking features.

 

NPEX

This option is used to designate the number of days for a PIN to be active on a new customer account for GOLDPhone and Internet access. The value will be calculated with the date that the new account is opened to give the expiration of the PIN. If left at the default value of 0, then the PIN will never expire.

APEX

This option is used to provide an expiration date for a PIN on existing customer accounts for GOLDPhone and Internet access. The value in this option is calculated with the file maintenance date to provide the new expiration date. If default of 0 is left in this field, then the PIN will never expire.

OPTC - SPIN

If this option is enabled, then security setup is used to determine if the GOLDPhone/Internet PIN field can be file maintained in CIM GOLD. This feature must be enabled to allow your institution's employees to change customers' PIN numbers.

OPTQ-24GP

If this option is enabled, GPS allows GOLDPhone to operate 24 hours a day.

Date/Time of Last Item in Passbook

 

Mnemonic: DMT075, DMDTPB

These fields display the date and time of the most recent transaction recorded in the customer's passbook. These fields are only valid on passbook accounts (the Passbook Account field is marked) and if your institution offers remote banking services. This option can be used for any non-checking account (the Checking field on the Deposits > Account Information > Account Information screen is left blank). A passbook is a physical book that is used to log in transactions. A passbook account is a savings account that normally requires no minimum balance, no minimum term, no specified frequency of deposits, and no notice or penalty for withdrawals.

Deny Remote Banking Transfers?

 

Mnemonic: DMGPXF

Use this field to indicate whether the system will allow the customer account to transfer funds on remote banking services. This field is only valid if your institution offers remote banking services.

Showing Pending?

 

Mnemonic: DMPNIC

Use this field to indicate whether pending inclearing checks and incoming ACH transactions will appear on your institution's website for the customer account. See below for more information.

 

To preview inclearing items by creating Internet-viewable items on customer accounts that use remote banking services, institution option OP09 - INCW (Create Check List for WWW Check Accounts) must be turned on. When the option is set and this field is marked, items will be created and displayed daily for incoming check records that customers can view on your institution's website. These items will only be available the day they are received. Each night during the afterhours, the previous day's items will be deleted.

 

This feature cannot be set on certificate accounts (the Certificate field on the Deposits > Account Information > Account Information screen must be left blank).

 

Service charges for this feature can be set up through the Deposits > Account Information > Commercial Account Analysis screen. A monthly service charge can be used when the Restrict GOLD HomeBanker? field below is marked. These items can be seen by your institution's personnel on the Pending Items screen.

 

This field is only valid if your institution offers remote banking services.

Restrict GOLDPhone?

 

Mnemonic: DMGDPH

Use this field to indicate whether the use of GOLDPhone is restricted for the customer account. This field is only valid if your institution offers GOLDPhone services. See Remote Banking PIN Expiration above for more information.

GOLDPhone?

 

Mnemonic: DMGBNK

This field indicates whether the customer account has access to GOLDPhone services. This field will be automatically marked the first time the customer accesses their account with GOLDPhone services. This field is only valid if your institution offers GOLDPhone services.

Restrict GOLD HomeBanker?

 

Mnemonic: DMGDIN

Use this field to indicate whether GOLD HomeBanker is restricted on the customer account. This field is only valid if your institution offers remote banking services.

WWW?

 

Mnemonic: DMWWWA

This field indicates whether the customer account has access to web-based remote banking services. This field will be automatically marked the first time a customer accesses his or her account using their web-based remote banking service.

 

This field is only valid if your institution offers remote banking services. In order to preview inclearing items online for accounts that use remote banking features, Institution Option OP09-IBOC must be enabled. When the option is set and this field is marked, items will be created and displayed online daily for incoming check batches. These items will only be available for the day they are received.

Allow Cash Management?

 

Mnemonic: DMCSMG

Use this field to indicate whether a cash management feature will be used with the customer account. See below for more information.

 

The cash management feature is used to create eACH batches, wire transfers, account transfers, etc.

 

This field is only valid if your institution offers remote banking services. Listed below are different steps that can be taken using the cash management feature:

 

1.Determining cash commitment and ability to make payments

2.Selecting invoices to be paid

3.Printing checks

4.Voiding checks

5.Displaying the checks in the register

6.Reconciling to the bank statement

7.Printing control statements

8.Voiding control statements

9.Displaying the control statements in the control statement register

 

These steps are automated and are generally performed in a sequence.
