Navigation: Customer Relationship Management > Customer Relationship Management Screens > Households Screen >
Use the Names tab on the Households screen (or on the Customer Info tab of the Customer Relationship Management > Customer Profile screen) to view and edit information about names attached to the customer household.
Click <New Household> to use this screen to create a new household. Click <Create New> to use this screen to add a new name to the selected household.
Select a name in the list view at the top of this tab to view and edit that name's information in the fields on this tab. In the far left column of the table, a sequence number (Seq) is displayed for each name. The system reserves Seq number 1 for the Head of Household (the primary customer or first name entered when a new household is being created). For example, this may be the managing partner in a business or the head of a family. However, you can change whether name one is head of household, co-borrower, or something else by entering it in the Relation to Head field.
Press the <OFAC> button in the middle-right section of the Detailed Personal Information tab to run an OFAC check on the name selected in the list view. See below for more information about OFAC.
Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) is a Windows-based program that verifies whether a new customer is eligible to open an account in the United States. The program accesses and searches a database imported from the U.S. Treasury Department of specially designated nationals and blocked individuals.
If a name comes up as a match on the OFAC list, follow your institution’s procedures on how to move forward with the customer. Validating names through OFAC ensures your institution is in compliance with government regulations. If you save a household name that has been matched in OFAC, the name will appear on the Consolidated OFAC Report (FPSDR338).
Running an OFAC check will open the OFAC Check dialog for the selected name. See help for the Miscellaneous > OFAC Search screen for more information about OFAC and the OFAC Check dialog. |
Note: Each household should have a designated IRS Owner for the account. You should also make sure the Account Ownership field is correctly entered with information about the names on this account. This affects credit reporting. |
