Utility Company Information fields

Use these fields on the Utility Company Information screen to set up utility company information for use with customer loan accounts that are billed through utility companies.

 

Utility Company list view

The list view on this screen displays all previously created utility companies that match the indicated search criteria. A system search for utility companies is performed by:

 

Marking either the ID or Name radio buttons,

Entering a search value in the ID or Name field,

Clicking <Search>.

 

The list view then displays all utility companies whose company ID or Name information match the indicated search value. The information displayed in the list view corresponds directly to the other fields on this screen (see below). Click any column header to organize the list view by that column's information type.

 

Creating/Editing Utility Company Information

New utility companies can be added to the system by clicking <Create New>, entering information in the fields on the bottom of this screen, and clicking <Save Changes>. Previously created utility companies can be edited by selecting them in the list view (see above), editing the fields on the bottom of this screen, and clicking <Save Changes>. Once added, utility companies cannot be deleted from the system on this screen.

 

The fields on the bottom of this screen are as follows:

 

Field

Description

Company ID

This field displays the system-defined ID number of the selected utility company. This number cannot be changed.

Company Name

Use this field to indicate the name of the utility company being created/edited.

Auth ID/Key

Use these fields to indicate the authorization ID and authorization key for the utility company being created/edited. This ID and key are used by third parties in the process of authenticating the utility company, which determines whether the utility company can request information about the loans for which they perform billing.

 

Any changes or additions made on this screen are reflected in GOLDTrak PC (on the Energy Loan Information screen and Utility Information pop-up screen) as well as on the Change Utility pop-up screen (that appears when <Change/Set Company> is clicked on the Loans > Account Information > Additional Loan Fields screen).
