To use the Checks screen, certain security options must be set for your institution and for employees or employees connected to profiles. Only your institution's security administrator can complete these steps.

Tip: Users will need to close down their CIM GOLD and reopen it in order for these security settings to take affect. We suggest making security changes first thing in the morning before employees log in for the day, or last thing at night after employees leave. |

For your institution to use the Checks screen, the screen must first be subscribed to using the Security > Subscribe to Mini-Applications screen.
1.Access the Security > Subscribe to Mini-Applications screen. 2.Check the box under Loans > Check Printing > Checks screen, as shown below. 3.Click <Save Changes>.
That screen will now appear in the left tree-navigation of CIM GOLD if the user has security, as described below. |
Employees can be set up with their own security or profile security to use the Checks screen.
To set up security for an individual employee:
1.Access the Security > Setup screen. 2.Make sure the Employees radio button is selected. 3.Uncheck the Display Effective Security box. 4.Select the User Name in the list view table for whom you want to set up security to the Checks screen. 5.Click the CIM GOLD tab. 6.Select the Maintain radio button for Loans > Check Printing > Checks screen. 7.Click <Save Changes>.
To set up security for a profile:
1.Access the Security > Setup screen. 2.Make sure the CIM GOLD Profile radio button is selected. 3.Uncheck the Display Effective Security box. 4.Select the Profile Name in the list view table for whom you want to set up security to the Checks screen. 5.Click the CIM GOLD tab. 6.Select the Maintain radio button for Loans > Check Printing > Checks screen. 7.Click <Save Changes>.
When the employee logs into CIM GOLD, they will see the Loans > Check Printing > Checks screen as one of the available screens to use in CIM GOLD. |
