The Payment Application field (LNAPPL) is an important field to establish the order of what is paid first when a payment is applied. For example, you can apply the loan payment first to interest, then principal, then any remaining funds can go to late charges, reserve payments, etc.

 

 

The order of where loan payments are disbursed are reflected by the order of these checkboxes. For example, if the Interest checkbox appears at the top of this field group, interest will be paid first. You can change the order by dragging a field up or down in this box.

 

You cannot make changes from this screen. Changes to the Payment Application must be made on the Loans > Account Information > Account Detail screen > Payment Detail tab in the Payment Application field. See the help on that screen for more information.
