Note: As of CIM GOLD version 7.9.3, a new screen (Loans > Transactions > Payment Adjustment) is available to use for reversing transactions. If your institution is using a compatible version of CIM GOLD, GOLDPoint System recommends using the new screen rather than this one.

 

Before you can use the Payment Reversal screen, the following items must be set up.

 

Teller Numbers
All users who use this screen must be set up as a teller in the Security system. While in the process of reversing and reapplying transactions, GOLDPoint Systems locks the account to prevent unwanted transactions from taking place. For more information on how to set up tellers, see help for the Deposits > Definitions > Teller Information screen.

 

Security
You must have file maintenance security to the Payment Reversal function to be able to reverse and reapply transactions. Security access can be set up through Security > Setup, CIM GOLD tab. Expand the Loans and Transactions systems, and then select the Maintain radio button next to Payment Reversal, as shown below:
