Transaction/Modifier

Mnemonic: FPTOTCOD, FPTOTMOD

This field displays the transaction code number and transaction modifier (if applicable) of the transaction selected in the Transaction Override list view. See below for more information.

A modifier is only present in this field when multiple versions of a transaction code number exists. A modifier is added to the transaction when GOLDPoint Systems programs a new transaction with a slight change from the original. For example, check cashing transactions are Transaction code 1400 with Modifiers of 1–6.

•1400/01 is a check cashed with no hold

•1400/02 is cashing an on-us check

•1400/03 is a check cashed with hold, etc.

The Modifier field will not be file maintained by your institution. If necessary, your institution can customize existing transactions by pressing <Create New>, entering the desired transaction number, modifying the other fields on this screen, and pressing <Save Changes>.

The third number in a transaction code means the transaction has been copied for your institution's needs. For more information on copying transactions, see the Copying Transactions topic in the CIM GOLDTeller User's Guide.

The Menu Design screen under Functions > Administrator Options in CIM GOLDTeller displays all transaction available to be run from CIM GOLDTeller, as shown below. See the Menu Design topic in the CIM GOLDTeller User's Guide for more information.

Override Mnemonic

Mnemonic: FPTOTMNU

Use this field to change the displayed mnemonic of the transaction selected in the Transaction Override list view. Entering a value in this field and clicking <Save Changes> will overwrite the mnemonic displayed for the transaction in the Mnemonic field. This mnemonic is printed on the account owner's receipt and also on the Electronic Teller Journal.

Override Description

Mnemonic: FPTOTDSC

Use this field to change the displayed description of the transaction selected in the Transaction Override list view. Entering a value in this field and clicking <Save Changes> will overwrite the description displayed for the transaction in the Description field below. This description is printed on the account owner's statements and displays for the account on your institution's website.

Override Output Format

Mnemonic: FPTOOFMT

Use this field to change the displayed output format number of the transaction selected in the Transaction Override list view. Entering a value in this field and clicking <Save Changes> will overwrite the output format displayed for the transaction in the Output Format field below.

Output format numbers are specific to your institution and are used to determine what data is printed on transaction receipts. They need to be set up by GOLDPoint Systems before they can be used in this field.

This field contains the current mnemonic of the transaction selected in the Transaction Override list view. Use the Override Mnemonic field above to assign a new mnemonic to the transaction. See Available Mnemonics for a list of all available mnemonics and the transaction types they correspond to.

Description

Mnemonic: FPTDTDSC

This field contains the current description of the transaction selected in the Transaction Override list view. Use the Override Description field to assign a new description to the transaction. This description is printed on your customer’s statements and is shown on your institution's website for their accounts.

Output Format

Mnemonic: FPTDOFMT

This field contains the current output format number of the transaction selected in the Transaction Override list view. Use the Override Output Format field above to assign a new output format number to the transaction.

Output format numbers are specific to your institution and are used to determine what data is printed on transaction receipts. They need to be set up by GOLDPoint Systems before they can be used on this tab.

Security Level

Mnemonic: FPTOSLVL

Use this field to indicate the security level of the transaction selected in the Transaction Override list view. Possible values in this field are numbers 0-255, with 0 indicating that this feature is not used and 255 indicating the highest security level. In order to perform a transaction, the teller must have a Security Level equal to or greater than the Security Level of the transaction. Teller security levels are set up on the Deposits > Definitions > Teller Information screen.

Security Groups

Mnemonic: FPTOGRP1–8

This field consists of 8 checkboxes that each represent a security group. Transaction codes can be assigned to a security group based on your institution's preferences. The Security Level field above is used in conjunction with these checkboxes. These fields also appear on the Deposits > Definitions > Teller Information screen. See below for more information.

	Note: This setup is prerequisite to assigning teller security in GOLDTeller. Note that your institution may choose to build GOLDTeller menus so that tellers only see the transactions that they are authorized to run or place a supervisor override on the transactions they should not run. In this case, the Security Level and Security Groups fields might not contain any settings.

Use these checkboxes to indicate which institution-defined security groups the transaction selected in the Transaction Override list view belong to. In order to perform a transaction, the teller must have a Security Level equal to or greater than the Security Level of the transaction. Teller security levels are set up on the Teller Information screen.

	Note: By default, all transactions exist in each of the eight security groups, allowing any teller to perform all transactions. Your institution may use all eight groups to assign transactions to groups according to its needs.

The following is an example of how security groups work:

In this example, the loan teller is restricted to only performing savings inquiries and loan transactions. The beginning deposit teller is able to perform savings inquiries, low-level savings transactions, and high-level savings transactions, but is restricted from performing any transactions in the other groups. The experienced deposit teller can perform all deposit transactions, but not loan transactions.

This information would be set up on the screen in the Security Groups fields 1 through 8, as shown below.

Example: The security level associated with the Open Deposit Loan Transaction is 200, and this transaction is placed in security group 3. The deposit teller would not be able to perform this transaction because, although he or she has access to security group 3, his or her security level of 100 is not equal to or greater than that of the transaction.
