The Teller Information screen is found in two locations in CIM GOLD: under Deposits > Definitions and as a tab on the Security > Setup screen. Use this screen to set up employees to perform teller transactions for your customers. Only tellers who are set up on this screen will be able to sign on to GOLDTeller. Security for this screen should only be given to supervisors or managers.
The list view at the top of this screen displays all employees who have previously been set up as tellers for your institution. The information displayed in this list view correlates to the other fields on the Teller Information screen. Selecting a teller in this list view populates those fields with that teller's information and makes them available for editing (except Teller Number).
Click on any column header to organize the list view by that column's information type.

The field groups and tabs on this screen are as follows:

Every transaction requires a teller number. Even afterhours transactions done by the system require a teller number. With payments done through GOLDAccount Center, GOLDPhone, or a third-party payment processor, a teller number is also required. Sometimes the system is so busy that many system teller numbers are being used. For example, if seven of your customers all processed online payments at the exact time, the system would need 7 system teller numbers for each of those transactions. We have reserved enough system teller numbers, so there should always be enough teller numbers to post payments. However, if all system teller numbers are being used, the payment system will wait for another transaction to process, and then post the payment using that teller number.
The following teller numbers are reserved for afterhours, web and GOLDPhone payments, and other processes. Do not set up one of your employees with these numbers!

In order to use this screen, your institution must:
•Subscribe to it on the Security > Subscribe To Mini-Applications screen.
•Set up employees and/or profiles with either Inquire (read-only) or Maintain (edit) security for it on the CIM GOLD tab of the Security > Setup screen. |
