Overdraft Accounts field group
Use this field group to link multiple overdraft accounts to one primary customer deposit account. Five overdraft accounts are available to each customer account using the overdraft feature.
The system will overdraft from the accounts in order from first account listed to last. For example, a check is presented for $1,000.00. Only $100.00 is in the checking account, but there are three overdraft accounts available. The system will check each overdraft account in order. There is $500.00 available in the first overdraft account, $100.00 available in the second, and $1,000.00 available in the third. The system will take $100.00 from the checking account, $500.00 from the first overdraft account, $100.00 from the second, and $300.00 from the third to equal a total of $1,000.00 to cover the check (If there had only been $200.00 available in the third overdraft account, the check would have been rejected for non-sufficient funds).
For the transaction, institution, and CIM GOLD features that pertain to the use of the overdraft feature, see the Overdrafting Conditions and Options help page.
