Help Option

Description

About CIM GOLD

Select this function to open the About CIM GOLD dialog (shown below). This dialog displays the Node, Institution, and Set numbers of the currently logged-in session, as well as the username of the current user, the current CIM GOLD version number, and the copyright date.

Master Help Search

Select this function to open the Master Help screen. See Using Help for more information.

User's Guide

Select this function to open this User's Guide in CIM GOLD (starting with the Introduction page).

Mini-Application Help

Select this function to open the F1 Help file for the currently selected screen or field. See Using Help for more information.

 

If the Show Help Paths on Help Function Calls field (on the Options tab of the User Preferences function of the Options drop-down menu) is marked, a help tracing dialog will appear before the F1 Help file appears. Help tracing dialogs are mainly for use by GOLDPoint Systems personnel. Help tracing dialogs display the path and name for the help file, as well as the help keyword (if available).

What's New With This Version

Select this function to open the What’s New in CIM GOLD help, which documents recent changes and improvements made to the current version of CIM GOLD.

User Defined Help

Select this function to open the User-Defined Help dialog for the selected screen in CIM GOLD (shown below). Use this dialog to view and enter user-defined notes, suggestions, and instructions pertaining to your institution's employee's use of the selected screen. Each CIM GOLD screen has its own User-Defined Help dialog available.
