•Your institution might not have subscribed to that screen (see help for the Security > Subscribe To Mini Applications screen in CIM GOLD).
•You might not have security to view that screen (see CIM GOLD Security).
•You might need to download the most current version of CIM GOLD.
•You might need to clear your cache files, then log on to CIM GOLD again (File > Delete Cache File and File > Delete Current Internal Cache. These two options will clear out your cache and allow you to reload information directly from the host).
•You might not have the correct file for that screen stored on your computer (contact GOLDPoint Systems to find out which file you may be missing).
•If none of the above suggestions work, contact GOLDPoint Systems.
Two items affect which screens can be viewed by a user. The first is your mini-application subscriptions (see help for the Subscribe To Mini Applications screen in CIM GOLD). The second is screen security (see CIM GOLD Security).
I have security and am subscribed to the screen, but I still cannot view the screen. Why?
1.Do you have the file, or dll, of the screen? Each screen in CIM GOLD uses one or more dll’s to store the look and functionality of the screen. If the dll for a particular screen is not included in your files on your computer, then the screen will never appear in your Navigation tree, even if your institution has subscribed to it and you have security to view or maintain it. You will need to contact your GOLDPoint Systems account manager for information on how to obtain dll's.
2.The cache file on your computer may be outdated. CIM GOLD uses a cache file to store tables, security, etc. A version number of the screen security record is also stored in your cache file. If GOLDPoint Systems has updated the screen security record, then deleting your cache will cause your computer to load that new version of the security record from the host. |
See Basic CIM GOLD Concepts and Terminology to learn about the error and warning icons that may be preventing you from viewing or saving information on a particular CIM GOLD screen.
Additionally, you may not have security to file maintain certain fields. See the Security help for more information about security for certain screens, as well as field-level security. |
