Use this Loans > System Setup screen to indicate descriptions for user-defined CIM GOLD field codes.

User-defined fields are used by your institution to indicate miscellaneous information for which no standard CIM GOLD fields are available. This information is viewable on the Loans > Account Information > User Defined Fields screen (where user-defined fields are assigned to individual customer accounts) or in GOLDWriter.

There are four types of user-defined field codes, identified by their acronyms (which appear in the list view on this screen). Select a field code in the list view to edit its Description and apply the change by clicking <Save Changes>. The list view displays all user-defined Field codes and their Descriptions as well as their most recent file maintenance information (the date of the most recent change and the employee Number and name of the person who performed the change).

The user-defined field codes available in the list view are as follows:

UFC

Character fields that store text. There are 34 UFC codes available for definition. Fields 1-17 have a maximum length of 7 characters while fields 18-34 have a maximum length of 24 characters.

UFDLLR

Dollar fields that store dollar amounts (two decimal places). There are 9 UFDLLR codes available for definition.

UFN

Number fields that store two-digit values. There are 34 UFN codes available for definition.

UFPCT

Percent fields that stores percent values up to three decimal places. There are 8 UFPCT codes available for definition.

Changes to fields on this screen do not write to system history.

Note: User-defined field codes are stored in system history, but their Descriptions are not. Therefore, be careful that the Description of a code is not changed after the code is put into effect, or else your institution's records will contain inaccuracies or misinformation.

Click any column header to organize the list view by that column's information type.
