Cannot Locate Consumer/Consumer Now Located
Entry: User, checkbox
F/M: Yes
Mnemonic: NDCLIN
Screen: Loans > Marketing and Collections > CIF tab
Use the Cannot Locate Consumer checkbox field to indicate whether the selected borrower cannot be located by your institution. If you check this box, the borrower will be reported with Customer Information Identification code (CIID) of "T - Credit Grantor Cannot Locate Consumer" to the credit repositories during monthend Credit Reporting (see FPSRP184).
Use the Consumer Now Located checkbox field to indicate whether a customer who previously could not be located has since been located. If this box is checked the next month (or many months) after the Cannot Locate Consumer box is checked, the system reports the borrower with CIID code "U - Consumer Now Located" during monthend Credit Reporting.
Once one checkbox field has been marked, must be clicked before the other checkbox field becomes available.
The CIID code as indicated in these fields is only reported to the credit bureau once. If both checkbox fields are used in the same month, the customer status is not reported.
Note: Only one CIID code can be reported to credit repositories per month. Accounts can occasionally qualify for more than one CIID code. The T code (credit grantor cannot locate consumer) and U code (consumer now located) are last in priority. See the CIID code on the Household screen.
