The 1098 Statement includes 1098 mortgage interest paid, as well as a full statement showing year-end totals and history (if the option is selected). If you selected you want the 1098 Mortgage Interest Statement on the Client Year-end Reporting Setup Form, these additional options are also available, and you should designate which additional items you want on the form (see below). (After you designate which options you want, your GPS account manager will set up the respective option on the FPSRP382 report setup before year-end processing runs.)
The following is an example of the 1098 Loan Statement that can be printed from GOLDView Plus and sent to your customers. The options you can choose are highlighted in the example, then described below.
Note: GPS strongly suggests using the 1098 Mailer and not this type of 1098 statement.

Select this option if you want to mask all but the last 4 digits of the borrower’s tax ID number, as shown in the example above. Your GOLDPoint Systems account manager must set up that option for you in the Annual Loan Statement (FPSRP382) report setup. |

Place branch phone number instead of home office? (Report Option)
Select this option if you want the branch phone number on IRS forms instead of your institution's home office number. The branch phone number can be entered on the GOLD Services > Office Information screen in CIM GOLD.
Note: GOLDPoint Systems account managers must also set up Misc Opts 3 on the Annual Loan Statement (FPSRP382) report setup.

Do you want to sort mailers by mailing address zip code? (Report Option)
Check Yes if you want condensed mailers to be sorted in Zip-code order of the account owner’s address.
Do not check Yes for option 3 above if using this option.
Sorting exceptions, such as bad addresses and “DO NOT MAIL,” will still be on top in mailing address Zip-code order. This option is only available if you are not using GOLDPoint Systems’ mailing service (see Shipping). |

Display the previous year-end balance on the statement? (Report Option)
Select this option if you want to include the previous year-end principal balance on the loan on the statement. This is only available to those institutions that were using GOLDPoint Systems before this year. |

Display the property address on the statement, instead of the account’s mailing address? (Report Option)
Select this option if you want to show the property address on the statement, instead of the account’s mailing address. On the Customer Relationship Management > Households screen > Addresses tab, verify that the physical address is correct. Make any necessary changes to the address before running year-end. |

Display transaction history on the statement? (Report Option)
Select this option if you want to display all transaction history occurring on the account, such as payments and credits. This option is available if you were using GOLDPoint Systems prior to January of the current year. This option prints the monetary transactions processed on the account in the past year on the statement. This would include regular payments, late charges paid (if option to include late charges is selected), curtailments, reserve disbursements, advances, etc. Printing history may cause the 1098 statement to generate two or more pages. |

Display transaction history on the second page of the statement? (Report Option)
Select this option if you want transaction history to show on the second page of the statement. You must also have option 9 selected below. This option is available if you were on GOLDPoint Systems prior to January of the current year. This option prints the name, address, and tax year information on page one. The monetary transactions processed on the account in the past year are printed on page two. This would include regular payments, late charges paid (if option to include late charges is selected), curtailments, reserve disbursements, advances, etc. Any of this type of history would be shown on a separate second page, even if only one item of history took place in a given year. |

Display late charge history on statement? (Report Option)
Select this option if you want to display late charge history on statements. This option is only applicable if you choose to print history, noted above in option 9. Late charge assessments and late charge waive transactions will be disclosed on the statement if this option is activated. If this option is not chosen, only late charges paid with regular loan payments will be disclosed. |
