Deposit Screens > Account Information Screen Group > Activity Information Screen > Average Balances / Neg Fees tab > Negative Balance/Overdraft Fees field group

This field group contains the number and amount of negative balances and overdraft fees on the customer account for the past 12 months. These fees are charged to the account through the afterhours (using institution options NGCH and NGFE) or through ATMs (using institution options NSFF and NGFE).

Overdraft features can be adjusted for individual customer accounts on the Deposits > Account Information > Overdraft & Secured Loans screen. For the transaction, institution, and CIM GOLD features that pertain to the use of the overdraft feature, see the Overdrafting Conditions and Options help page. In order to use the overdraft function on a customer account, the Overdraft field on the Deposits > Account Information > Account Information screen must be marked.

This field group helps your institution comply with FDIC Best Practices (Regulation E) regarding courtesy overdraft fees. The Number column fields display the number of times the customer account has gone negative in the corresponding month.

The Amount column fields display the total amount of overdraft fees charged in the corresponding month.
