Addresses are usually created when a loan is boarded through GOLDTrak PC. However, you can create new addresses by clicking <Create New>, entering information in the fields on this screen, and clicking <Save Changes>. Or you can make changes to already existing address information by selecting the address in the list view at the top of this tab, making changes to the fields, and clicking <Save Changes>.

Note: For institutions that check for updated customer address information through the National Change Of Address (NCOA) registry, the system retains the customer’s previous address and saves it to the next available sequence number of addresses in the list view table at the top of this tab.

The list view on the right side of this tab displays all names and account numbers associated with the address selected in the top list view. This list view may change if more than one address is connected to the account. Use the Mailing and Property Address fields on the Accounts tab to attach accounts to addresses. See below for an example of multiple accounts associated with an address.

The fields on this tab are as follows:

Field

Description

Street/City/State/Zip

Mnemonic: NAADD1, NAADD2, NACITY, NASTAB, NAZIPC, NAZIP4

The system will verify the City, State, and Zip fields through CIM GOLD's Zip Code Directory. If the data entered in these fields does not match properly, an error message will result and you will be required to correct the error before continuing to enter data on this screen. If a foreign address type is selected in the Address Type field (see below), the Zip code must be entered in the Foreign Zip field (see below).

The system will not allow invalid ZIP codes to be saved.

Foreign Zip

Mnemonic: NAFZIP

If a foreign address type has been selected in the Address Type field (see below), use this field to indicate the postal code for the address being created/edited.

Address Type

Use this field to indicate the Census tract code used to identify and categorize the address being created/edited. Census tract codes are used to identify areas populated substantially by minorities or low- to moderate-income people. Standard Census tractcodes are found in the Freddie Mac (FHLMC) manual.

Mnemonic: NASMSA/NAMSAC

Use one of these fields to indicate the SMSA code to be used in conjunction with the Census tract code indicated in the Census field (see above). SMSA code numbers further categorieze addresses within a Census tract category. Use the field that corresponds to the number of digits used by your institution for SMSA codes.
