This report is generally run monthly in the afterhours. Consult your GOLDPoint Systems banking consultant about how you want to schedule this report.
Purpose
The FDIC Insured Public Funds Report shows all accounts that are tied to public funds. The report is used to show the amount of an account holder’s funds that is not insured by the FDIC. An account will appear on the report if the following fields are set on the Deposits > Account Information > Account Information screen in CIM GOLD: the General Category field (DMGENL) must be set to "3 - Public Funds," or the Sub Category field (DMSUBC) must be set to either "01 - Public Funds" or "06 - States and Political Subdivisions."
The report is sorted and subtotaled by IRS account owner. No other sorting options are provided. The following information is given for each IRS account owner:
•IRS short name
•Social security number
•Date opened
•Product code
•Current balance
•Accrued-to-today interest
•Current balance + accrued interest
•Number of accounts for same IRS owner
•Subtotal of balance and accrued interest
•Subtotal of FDIC insured
•Subtotal of non-FDIC insured
GOLDPoint Systems Only: For this report to print properly, the first Sort field must be set to "80," and the Critical fields must be "1" to "9." Input records are DM, MN. |

IRS Short Name |
This is the short name of the IRS account owner (SHNAME), pulled from the CIF System. If the system cannot locate a name for this Social Security number, the message “NOT ON FILE” will appear in this field. |
Soc Sec Nbr |
This is the Social Security number or federal identification number of the person or organization (MNHHLD). |
Account Number |
This column displays the office number (DMACTO), account number (DMACTA), and the check digit (DMCKDG) for the account. |
Date Opened |
This is the date on which the account was opened, taken from the Date Opened field (DMDTOP) on the Deposits > Account Information > Account Information screen in CIM GOLD. |
Prod Code |
This is the product code used for this account. It is taken from theProduct Code field (DMPDCD). |
Current Balance |
This is the current balance of the account. It is taken from the Current Balance field (DMCRBL) on the Deposits > Account Information > Account Information screen in CIM GOLD. |
Accrued Int |
This is the amount of accrued interest that has been calculated through the run date of the report. |
Cur Bal and Accrued Int Thru Today |
This field is the sum of the current balance of the account and the amount of interest accrued to the run date. The current balance is taken from the Current Balance field (DMCRBL) on the Deposits > Account Information > Account Information screen in CIM GOLD. |
Num of Accounts |
This subtotal field displays the number of accounts belonging to this IRS owner. |
Bal and Accrued Int |
This subtotal amount field displays the sum of all current balances and accrued interest for this IRS owner’s accounts. |
FDIC Insured |
This subtotal field displays the amount of this IRS owner’s current balances and accrued interest that is insured by the FDIC. The maximum amount for this field is $250,000.00. |
Non-FDIC Insured |
This subtotal field displays the amount of this IRS owner’s current balances and accrued interest that is not insured by the FDIC. |
Totals and Subtotals Provided
Subtotals are provided in the following categories:
•Number of accounts.
•Account balances and accrued interest for all accounts belonging to an individual IRS owner.
•Amount of current balance and accrued interest that is FDIC insured for each IRS owner.
•Amount of current balance and accrued interest that is not FDIC insured for each IRS owner.
Institution totals are provided in the following categories:
•Number of public accounts.
•Total balance and accrued interest for all accounts.
•Total balance of all funds that are FDIC insured.
•Total balance of all funds that are not FDIC insured.
•Total current balance of all accounts.
