Certain institutions were experiencing an issue where manually removing a customer's MLA Lending status in CIM GOLD did not properly update certain GOLDMiner reports.

To address this issue, changes were to be made in GOLDTrakPC and GTCOM so the FPI4 record could be handled uniformly across all programs. As such, the short name is no longer required when reading an FPI4 record. Only the Social Security number needs to match. The short name will no longer be written to the FPI4 record and I4 boarding won't populate the short name field. The short name will also no longer be required on the CIF Compare and CIF Lookup screens when reading in FPI4.
