We now send additional data to Equifax in order to comply with an Indiana law that was enacted in May of 2019 which prevents credit bureaus from using the Social Security Number (SSN) as criteria for determining the identity of a borrower. This additional data can be used by Equifax to identify borrowers and co-borrowers and will help ensure that Equifax credit requests for Indiana borrowers are not returned citing "insufficient data."

 

The following information will now be sent to Equifax in addition to what was previously sent:

•Co-borrower's address

•Co-borrower's phone number

•Co-borrower's date of birth

 

We also updated error identification for co-borrower credit requests.
