Navigation: Miscellaneous Screens > Variable Screens Screen Group >
The Variable Screens screen group in the CIM GOLD tree view (shown below) allows your institution to create and view custom CIM GOLD screens.
The Select and Display a Screen and Variable Screen Design screens both exist in three places in CIM GOLD: Deposits, Loans, and Miscellaneous.
These three Variable Screen variations function identically, with a few small differences:
•Deposit Variable Screens can only be designed with Deposit records (in the Main Record field on the Variable Screen Design screen). The Deposits > Variable Screens > Variable Screen Design screen only displays Deposit screens in its list view.
•Loans Variable Screens can only be designed with Loan records (in the Main Record field on the Variable Screen Design screen). The Loans > Variable Screens > Variable Screen Design screen only displays Loan screens in its list view.
•Miscellaneous Variable Screens can be designed with any type of record. The Miscellaneous > Variable Screens > Variable Screen Design screen displays all screens in its list view. Special attention should be given to control access security for Miscellaneous Variable Screens. Unlike Deposit and Loan Variable Screens, no attempts are made by the system to limit access to any type of account while on the Miscellaneous > Variable Screens > Variable Screen Design screen.
Variable screens do not have work fields, calculations, or selections. System-calculated CIM fields are available for use with variable screens. These are the same work fields that are used with GOLDWriter.
•Loans: Loan work fields appear at the bottom of LN fields and begin with LNW.
•Deposits: Deposit work fields appear at the bottom of DM fields and begin with DMW.
In order to use these screens, your institution must:
•Subscribe to them on the Security > Subscribe To Mini-Applications screen.
•Set up employees and/or profiles with either Inquire (read-only) or Maintain (edit) security for them on the CIM GOLD tab of the Security > Setup screen. |
