GOLDPoint Systems will send you an IRS transmittal form (Form 4804) containing specific information about your institution with your year-end statements. GOLDPoint Systems generates its own similar form shown below. You will also receive a Form 4804 with each run of the IRS GOLD system in January (first run), March (second run, if needed), and July (third run, if needed). Please examine the information to make sure it is accurate (name, address, Federal EIN, etc.), then sign and return it to GOLDPoint Systems. This is a required document by GOLDPoint Systems for file verification. GOLDPoint Systems will not transmit information to the IRS until you return the signed form to GOLDPoint Systems. You are strongly urged to return the transmittal forms to us as soon as possible after they've been made available in GOLDView Plus.
Note
The form is generated and sent to GOLDView Plus, where you can print it out and sign it. We will accept the returned signed form however you choose to send it to us.
•We will accept a signed physical copy that you send to us via the U.S. Postal Service. •You can print a copy, sign it, scan it, then send it back via email. •You can print a copy, sign it, take a picture of it with your phone, then upload the picture to an email and send it to us.
Whatever is easiest for you, we will accept it. |
There will be a separate transmittal form or several sections on one transmittal form identifying the different IRS transmissions (1098, 1099, 1099A, etc.). These are located under “Kind of Document” on the transmittal. Be sure you sign a transmittal form for each type of IRS transmission.
GOLDPoint Systems transmits IRS information directly to the IRS. This ensures your information is sent in a timely manner. We must transmit information for one institution at a time. This can take many hours. Therefore, do not delay in returning the transmittal forms to GOLDPoint Systems. GOLDPoint Systems would like the transmitting completed by January 20, for the first run; March 5th by the second run, if needed.
WARNING:
Do not delay in returning the transmittal to GOLDPoint Systems. If the transmittal is not received at least one week prior to the IRS deadline, GOLDPoint Systems cannot guarantee a transmission before the last business day in February. |
