A new field, Cell Carrier (CELL_CARRIER_NEW_PNB), has been added to the PHONE_NUMBER field group for the purpose of identifying cell phone carrier codes. This field can contain any numeric value that corresponds to a carrier code.

 

This new field was created because the previous cell phone carrier field (CELL_PHONE_CARRIER_PNB) was unable to store carrier codes numerically greater than 65535 (or transfer them to CIM GOLD). This change was determined to be necessary because an increasing number of cell phone carrier codes are numbers that exceed that limit.

 

This new field will replace the old field on the Phone Numbers screen as well as in loading, mapping, and boarding. Please note that any documents and formulas using the old field will need to be updated to use this new field.
